Who comes first between your fiancée and your sibling?

There has never
been a fiancée or fiancé who never had a hiccup with, at least, one person
among his or her partner’s family members.
Many times, the
hiccups dwell on: who owns the man (more) between the family member (who is
mostly a sibling to the man), and the fiancée; who should get the man’s
attentions and cares the most; and who can suggest to the man (and the man will
yield without thinking twice) the most. These, basically, are what generate rifts
between fiancées and their fiancé’s sibling(s).
Siblings that engage in rifts with their
brother’s fiancée on the noted reasons (above) and more in like manner do not
know the scripture

“He replied, Have you never read that He Who
made them from the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this
reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united firmly
(joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?”,

Matt 19:4-5, AMP.
Based on the
scripture above, what is the relationship between a sibling and his or her
brother, compared to the relationship between the brother and the fiancée? The
siblings, parents, fiancés and fiancées alike, should know that the purpose of
a person would be fulfilled without the presence of family members, but not
without the presence of that person’s partner.
There is a limit to what siblings could do
in a person’s life compared to one’s partner
Since the Bible
does not (vividly) recognise the place or position of a sibling in marriage contracts,
there is no basis for their claims on the man when it comes to
relationship/marriage. However, siblings are also like a shareholder in the
life of their brother or sister that is in a relationship with another person.
Their relevancy cannot be overemphasised, but there is a limit for them.
Any sibling that
does not want to be tagged ‘a practitioner of incest’ (if is a she) or
homosexual-practitioner (as a he) must know that there should be some gap
in-between him or herself and the brother.
An article, Incest, on Wikipedia, has this to say,
“The incest taboo is and has been one of the most widespread of all cultural taboos,
both in present and in many past societies. Most modern societies have laws
regarding incest or social restrictions on closely consanguineous marriages. In
societies where it is illegal, consensual adult incest is seen by some as a victimless
crime.
“Some cultures
extend the incest taboo to relatives with no consanguinity such as milk-siblings,
step-siblings, and adoptive siblings. Third-degree relatives (such as
half-aunt, half-nephew, and first cousin) on average share 12.5% genes and
sexual relations between them are viewed differently in various cultures, from
being discouraged to being socially acceptable. The children of incestuous
relationships were regarded as illegitimate, and are still so regarded in some
societies today. In most cases, the parents did not have the option to marry to
remove that status, as incestuous marriages were and are normally also
prohibited”.
What finally make one’s fiancée to come
before one’s sibling(s)?

It is true that family’s
cords are not easily broken and that the siblings know their brother of sister
before any fiancé or fiancée. Yet, there is absolute condemnation on a sibling
that might want to lay more claims on his or her brother than the brother’s fiancée.
Furthermore,
somethings would not just shift their grounds for any sibling(s) to come first,
before their brother’s fiancée. They include:
1.
Affectionate:
no affectionate between sibling to sibling can outweigh the affectionate
between fiancé and fiancée.
2.
Confidentiality:
there is nowhere, under heaven, where a sibling knows all secretes of his or
her brother than that brother’s fiancée.
3.
Togetherness:
the joy, the feelings, the trust, and all that binds together, which the
lovers share cannot be compared with what exist between siblings.
4.
Personal
prayers:
siblings could pray together, but there are restrictions to what
they could pray (together) upon. However, lovers could pray about their future
family (the kind of family they need); the children they would give birth to;
their plans, aspirations, and expectations, and so on.
5.
Sharing: of
truth, siblings can (sometimes) share things together than any fiancé or
fiancée would do; they have been doing this since they were born.
Notwithstanding, there is a different feeling when lovers share their joy or
their pains together.
The only type of fiancé or fiancée that
would fulfil your joy
“Many a man proclaims his own
loving-kindness and goodness, but a faithful man who can find? The righteous
man walks in his integrity; blessed (happy, fortunate, enviable) are his
children after him”,
Prov 20:6-7, AMP.
Any fiancé or
fiancée that one dates outside Christ will crush the purpose of one’s
existence. In other words, one cannot afford to date a person that is not born
again, because it is the experience (of salvation) that will rejuvenate the
man’s or woman’s mind and make him or her to be fit for a godly and fulfilling
relationship.
If you are not born again how can you
receive a partner that will fulfil your destiny?
Often than none,
it is a mirage, when a non-believer of Christ is expecting a born again person
to marry him or her. Therefore, you need to also give yourself to Christ for a
perfect match. “John answered, A man can
receive nothing [he can claim nothing, he can take unto himself nothing] except
as it has been granted to him from heaven. [A man must be content to receive
the gift which is given him from heaven; there is no other source]”.
John
3:27, AMP.
