|Dream really sprouts passion to achieve success in ones’ endeavours. Such is the case of Princess Aibi Erediauwa, the 2nd daughter of King Omonoba Erediuwa of Benin Kingdom, Nigeria.
Aibi sits atop a multimillion naira fashion house, ‘Pages’ – located in the heart of Benin City.
Although, there is nothing bad in being an employee of a multinational organisation: work is only better when it satisfies ones’ passion and curiosity. In the case of Aibi, she did not settle for a white-collar job immediately after her graduation.
“I would say 2008. I came back from UK that same year and I kicked off immediately. Starting the business, I faced a lot to make people accept my vision because at that time many people would prefer to buy stuffs from foreign country.” She said.
The truth must be told: whether as an employee or an entrepreneur, nothing comes easy. Getting promotion in office or expansion of businesses is not mince meat.
Hence, you will have to be dedicated to whatever you are doing. Put your best; strife hard in your profession or business and you will make.
Aibi, a lawyer who turned fashion designer started fashion business about 3 years ago and now she has been able to build it into a big brand – attracting fashion designers across Nigeria to patronise her. One might even mistake her products for the foreign ones, but they are all made in Benin.
According to the City People Magazine, “Her factory, located in Benin makes shoes, cloths and everything related to fashion industry”.
