To be candid, there is every reason to be sad; every reason to bury one’s face in shame (when one looks into his/her life and discovers that he/she is not where he/she supposed to be).
Alas! The meaning of life is neither in the drum of feasts nor in the bottle of wines that lifts the soul when in despair. Rather, life is said not to be ‘a bed of roses’, which means that the meaning of life is a mixture of ‘happiness and discouragement’.
One of the secretes to living healthy is to be happy, even, when situation says otherwise. It is a deliberate determination to not allow the troubles of life to steal your joy, all because, you cannot add a dot to the number of your years by many thoughts, neither can you receive a thing except it be given you from heaven.
With the above said, the secrete is to concentrate on the expected turn around, not looking away from the problems though but your energy, time, consciousness will be devoted to the necessary things that should have your attention, such as: God’s presence; God’s words; making the most of your time, opportunities, and relationships (in your life); going all out to do the legal things that will produce the needed results in your life.
According to Joyce Meyer, “If you sincerely want a life of peace, you will need to be willing to change too. Peace does not just come; we have to pursue, crave and go after it walking in peace must be a priority, or we will not make the effort needed to see it happen”.
The question, here, is what do you crave for or pursue? If you were sick do you cry over the sickness or declare your healings?
When your business is struggling do you remain downtrodden or you put all hands–on–deck (aiming high) and trusting in God to change things around for you?
We must know that life will not give us what we desire except we demand of it: you are the custodian of your happiness.
Even, if you were married, your partner can (only) encourage you, give you the intimate consolations (there are) – you will, never, be happy without your choice to be happy.
Life should be characterised by progress, but challenges are part of it too
Often, you have heard that courage is not an absence of fear but a determination to dare (do things) in the presence of fear.
When we realise that challenges will always come, as Jesus Christ told His disciples, we will be able to take control of our situations when rosy and when not.
In Ecclesiastes 1:1-3 the Bible says and asks, “THE WORDS of the Preacher, the son of David and king in Jerusalem. Vapor of vapors and futility of futilities, says the Preacher. Vapor of vapors and futility of futilities! All is vanity (emptiness, falsity, and vainglory). [Rom. 8:20.] What profit does man have left from all his toil at which he toils under the sun? [Is life worth living?] One generation goes and another generation comes, but the earth remains forever. [Ps. 119:90.]”. AMP.
Rather than allow circumstances to dictate your happiness, you can choose to turn your circumstances into stepping stones for greatness with God’s help.
At this point, let it be clear that you will find it funny – trying to create happiness without God. No, the ability to be happy (in the face of difficulties) come from the knowledge of God that you have.
So do you have a relationship with God?
For a quick one, to have a relationship with God means that you believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, because there is no other name under heaven (given among men) whereby we may be saved, except the name of Jesus.
Once you believe in Jesus Christ, then what Jesus (Himself) promised will start to happen (gradually in your life) with the help of the Holy Spirit: Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!
He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.
But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor), John 7:37-39, AMP.
Finally, being happy has been associated to sound health, but you cannot create happiness by yourself (especially, in the face of troubles) – you got to let God into your life, through the name of Jesus Christ and then, the Holy Spirit will start to teach you all truths, guiding you and empowering you (as you go through the journey of life).
Remain healthy, always.
