Focus away from those displeased with your progress

It will be a disservice to oneself to think that everyone around will like him/her perfectly: it does not mean, however, that you should be suspicious of people – that will, also, luck you up (a bit).

On the contrary, maintaining truthfulness of the heart with people will make you to discover their worths, intents and way of life. By that, you will be able to classify people and place them in the appropriate place{s} (in your life). Although, this requires constant evaluation because people do change.

Someone so fascinating about you could change overnight due to many things: perhaps, another person is sowing discord between you and the other person that likes you so much (before) or that the person who likes you (so much) is having some personal issues – tearing him/her apart. Do not just jump into conclusion that someone does not like you anymore, rather, try to find out of what could be wrong.

Some people will, plainly, detest you

This is just a simple truth. Even, the Sanhedrin and the people (that Jesus healed of sicknesses and diseases)  turned against Him, despite the fact that He was born to die for the sins of every mankind.

Your forefather Abraham was extremely happy at the hope and prospect of seeing My day (My incarnation); and he did see it and was delighted. [Heb. 11:13.]

“Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?  Jesus replied, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, before Abraham was born, I AM. [Exod. 3:14.]

“So they took up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus, by mixing with the crowd, concealed Himself and went out of the temple”. John 8:56-59, AMP.

In the above passage, we could see opposing perspectives. Jesus was, simply, saying the truth but the people (in that passage) were full of religion and respect for the forebear (Abraham) that they threw stones at Jesus Christ.

This you should know, that no matter how good you do things with the integrity of the heart, everyone will not accept what you do with considerations. The only thing that you must keep in mind (to go through this life unabated) is ‘accountability to God at the end of life’.

You don’t have to go down with people

You know what we meant by going down with people?

When anyone chooses to hate, snob or disrespect you – that person is down: he/she is below the standard. He/she is the one that is hurting, but the moment you allow such attitude to affect you (so that you start to react, negatively, toward the person) you are, also, going down with him/her.

Whereas, people are bound to change –  you are the one that must keep treating people with the respect that they deserve: it belongs to the state of the mind.

According to John Osteen, “Satan’s primary attack is in the mind. He begins his battle in our thoughts. Few Christians realize this fact. They take little care in guarding their minds”.[1]

Surprisingly, many people (who are down – hating others) do not, even, realise the fact that the devil is (already) toiling with their minds. Christians (alike) are found in this state of the mind too, and it (simply) means that such Christians are not taking care of their spiritual life.

Hence, we are advising you (our reader) that to be a focused person (in the middle of challenges) you got to be plugged into your Creator, the only true God in heaven – through: His words, a quality relationship/fellowship with Him, consistent prayer life, consistent obedience to His words and the Holy Spirit.

Agreed, it is not easy to ignore the tempest, but we (as children of God) already have the grace to do the will of God – on earth, no matter the challenges that might stand against us.

Therefore, we bid you to go (all out) and love people, genuinely, being part of God’s creation (particularly, created in God’s image).
