Going down the memory lane (of the creation account) is necessary for the pieces of information in this article.
Undoubtedly, God created the heavens and earth, created the creatures (animals, birds, fishes and reptiles) and created man to dominate the creation.
Then, God created the woman (Eve) and brought her to the man (Adam) – the Bible tells us that they were husband and wife.
However, the devil, Satan came and deceived the two of them to sin against God. So, Adam and Eve lost their place before God.
The full account is found in Genesis chapters 1, 2 & 3.
But God’s mercy stands sure
Initially, God created man (male and female) to rule over the creation and worship His name, but due to sin, man lost that privilege.
Yet, God rekindled His love towards mankind, as the Bible records in Isaiah 1:16-18, “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil, Learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.” AMP.
The whole plan of redemption was, then, perfected when Jesus Christ was born, grew and died on the cross. It did not stop there, Jesus rose from the dead and won victory (over sin, death and the devil) for as many as would receive Him, as the Saviour of the world.
We then pay nothing, but must accept this love
The only thing that God requires from everyone of us (to enjoy this perfect love) is the acceptance of Christ’s finished works on the cross. Simply put, the repentance from sins (of every man).
Hence, the Bible says ‘it is by grace that those who are saved were saved and not by themselves, but it is the gift of God’.
Unless a person responds to this grace, such person is doomed (for ever): the most interesting thing is that, no matter how filthy a person could consider himself/herself, God’s grace only recognises repentance from evil (sins).
Once a person repents and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour – the journey of new beginning then starts.
Failure to accept this provision of grace is dangerous though
No, we are not trying to cast fear on anyone.
Whether you have not accepted Jesus Christ or that you have accepted Him but you still live in sin is not the actual focus here, but the problem lies in the danger of dying any moment without reconciling yourself unto God.
Even in your sinfulness God loves you: He just does not like the sins that you commit and wants you to be affectionate with Him. “But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us”. Romans 5:8, AMP.
Notwithstanding the love that God has towards us, as the bible says ‘after death, it is judgment’.
It is on this basis that we admonish you to repent of your sins and accept Jesus today or that you rededicate yourself (fully) to Him and continue to obey Him in all things.
God, Christ and the Holy Spirit love you so much.
Observe this information
Right where you are, if you needed to accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour (pray to Him), and if you would like to rededicate yourself to Him (pray to Him, right there too).
After that, we recommend that you join a church that teaches God’s word and continue to worship there. It is, also, required that you maintain a consistent prayer life, and a life of obedience to God’s word daily.
